On the West Wing last weekend they were talking about the "Mommy" and "Daddy" parties. The "Mommy" party is the Democrats; supportive, helpful, loving. The "Daddy" party is the Republicans; protective, strong, aloof. That's the perception... regardless of the reality. Rove knows that... it's why they always play the fear card. John
