Clearly the answer to that is no," he said. On ABC's Good Morning America, Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., indicated that to win his vote, Miers, 60, may have to take a stronger stand on abortion than Bush's first Supreme Court nominee, Chief Justice John Roberts. Brownback, speaking from Topeka, said there is "a good chance" he will oppose Miers if she considers the 1973 Supreme Court case legalizing abortion nationwide as "settled law," a phrase Roberts used about the decision."
