I think the founders assumed that by now, the people they had granted the "right to bear arms" would have overthrown several bad and evil governments that had assumed power.

Ted, See....that's what you don't understand....this country started on ideas; on concepts; on theory.

Read the Declaration of Independence again. It says "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." That last part is key. People immigrate here for the chance to make better lives for themselves. They don't come here because they think someone else in America is going to just give them handouts.

But if we had it your way, that's exactly what's we'll end up doing ... until we can no longer afford it.

I'll ignore the rest of your flag-waving B.S. not because it isn't true (it certainly is the foundation of our nation), but because it's totally irrelevant to our original discussion, and frankly, it's a grand excuse for "rebels without a clue" to continue doing what they do without contributing a dime to this nation's economy.
