Well, according to some of the hosts on Air America, they have had a heck of a time convincing Dems of the importance of talk radio. There are some 30,000 hours of rightwing talk radio a week throughout the country to about 3000 of progressive. The rightwingers get together around Grover's bathtub every Wednesday to agree on a message and then fan out to repeat it a gazillion times regardless of how much of a lie it is or how stupid it sounds. They're organized and they've been at this for a generation. I don't see anything like this kind of relentless propagandizing from the Dems but I hear the rightwing talking points from friends all the time. It's amazing and it's creepy!
