Democrats would have to drop the smart image in order to win.

I'll stick with my original post, the American voters are a lot smarter than you liberals give them credit for....

Why did you write liberals - the statement is independent of any political party.

A smart image is a liability not an asset, for any political party.

Republican party was smart because they did not embrace the smart image, because Rove is a political genius.

I, for one, have never seen a physicist or an engineer more popular than a jock. In fact, wasn't that some of the criticism of Kerry in this past election, Bush was everyman.......the typical, NASCAR guy...and Kerry was an intellectual snob who doesn't get his hands dirty?
