For example, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, among many others, use the "C" rendering" The only reason this is being discussed at all is because American English is the langua franca for the world. In fact, Americans routinely misspell the names of countries and their cities even when there is no Japan involved and the country in question, unlike Korea, uses the same alphabet we do. What's one more misspelling? ted
