I'm not being facetious, it just seems odd like when Kerry stated he thinks abortion is murder but it's ok if everyone else does it....

What makes you think that?

No. I am not for abortion.

It's a trick question, nobody is in favor of abortion, people are in favor of a woman's right to choose whether she has an abortion or not. That's similar asking are you in favor of limb amputation - nobody wants to have their limb amputated, but everybody is in favor of the right to have it done.
