I watched the weekend talk shows today with a bit of amusement. All the conservatives are crying foul regarding Meirs' SC nomination. They were even suggesting that she should withdraw. Who the hell they think they are. This is not their father's country. This is a democracy. Justice Souter realizes that, Justice Kennedy realizes that and now Bush agrees that the nation comes first. To go in for a political fight by naming a extremist right nominee would not be good for a nation which is at war with 150,000 troops overseas.
