sounds like you could use some
Brier Island roses!
i'm sure they would be up to the task.
can't be anything much tougher
than the roses that grown on
the beaches there.

However, that Blanc de Coubert rose
is mighty tough too.
Don't plant one if you don't like
thorny roses though as they are
kind of vicious and also the kind
of rose that could be a little
too rambunctious for some gardens.
