Sure, as long as the current virus doesn't mutate that should work fine.

The worst case scenario, however, where the possible world wide death toll estimates now run as high as 3-7 millions, assumes a slightly modified kind of virus capable of being transmitted aggressively from man to man after the initial infection from avian sources!

And since we - or rather the virus - are not that "advanced" as yet, that would call for further mutations with the result most likely being a new more lethal strain not affected by our current vaccines.
