FWIW, here's what an anesthesiologist friend says about interferon and combining drugs.

haven't heard anything in the peer reviewed literature or the cdc about using interferon alpha to treat bird flu. WOULD NOT DO IT.

No logic to taking 2 different neuramidase inhibitors. they have the same mechanism of action. if the bug is resistant to one it is likely resistant to the other. differences between the drugs usually include things like: bioavailability, side effects, metabolism.
