Even the Bushies have talked about 'phased withdrawal' which is the only way withdrawal is going to happen anyway. It's not a pell mell dash for the Baghdad airport or Kuwaiti border after all...let's hope.

Since these guys have been wrong-wrong-wrong about everything about the war, why should anyone think they'll suddenly turn out to be right now? They said there were WMDs and connections to 911 and it turns out that they were not only wrong but lying.

They said this would be easy, that getting the head of the snake would be the end of conflict, that there were just dead end Republican Guard types, that the handing over of sovereignty would take the wind out of the insurgency, that there wasn't an insurgency but only foreign fighters, etc. etc.

Everything they said would happen did not and so many really bad things did. Why should they get unlimited funds and unlimited troops considering how poorly they've fared thus far?

Isn't it time for the crony-President to bring in people who really know how to handle this mess...if there are any?
