Another problem for Elgindy is Royer's conviction. Royer's sentence is bigger news that Elgindy's. How will the government sentence one of their own when one of their own goes bad?

Royer’s convictions are significant.

If they give Royer 10 years they have to give the on bail-on parole-convicted felon at least that.

And they cannot let Royer off easy because he betrayed his position of trust, for personal profit.

The two tethered together make it very hard to let either off with a light sentence.

Everything about Elgindy's actions before and after this arrest indicate she should get near max.

I don't know what his attempt to board the Airliner with false papers was all about, but surely at the least, it removes any chance of a light sentence.

Moderate, Heavy, and Max are the only options for Sentencing.

Moderate would be 10 years given the compound charges he has been determined to be guilty of.

When the judge sees the Elgindy Manifesto he posted here insulting the Jury and the legal system, I would think any good will for potential leniency would be eroded.

Elgindy is saying the Judge did not insure a fair trial, that he trial was biased. The judges only job in a jury trial is to ensure a fair process. The judge worked many hours to make that happen. If he was going to make this type of dumb mistake, he could have been smart enough to wait until the sentencing phase was over.

All of this does answer one question though-
What happens if you serve yourself- your own Kool-aid
