In 1918, the hardest hit by the flu (also probably avian they have recently determined) was the strong younger types, not the elderly. In any event, this administration has shown a preference for catastrophic miscalculation as with Iraq and New Orleans, and so whatever their feeble-minded "plan," it will be sure to have devastating, unforeseen consequences (to the morons at least).

I think New Orleans esp. showed that they have an extremely strong streak of screwing the poor/elderly people who get in the way of their massive wealth transfer machine. Why should those who do so little to help Bush/the Machine get part of the transfer that rightly should be handed to the rich and well connected?

The term that comes to mind is the one I first heard Heinz use: thugocracy.
