i totally agree with CI. consequently i believe it is my "duty" as an investor to not get shaken out, within the constraints of my asset allocation policy. that necessitates a willingness to "take one's lumps" in the market.

i believe the time to get out is not when a bull market corrects and chases out the daytraders, but when a bull market turns into a bubble. theoretically this should be detectable by ludicrous valuation multiples, which i have not noticed yet in the stocks i hold.
