"but used to describe inner states of feeling also."

Like that song: "I've got a peaceful, easy feeling"?

"at least it's not a snake swallowing a whole pig."

Or an alligator?

Unfortunately for the snake--the alligator is holding his own. My advice to the snake would be to squeeze longer before beginning to sup.

"Heaven and Hell are 1/2 inch apart.""

That is possible. The bible says that those in heaven can actually see the people in Hell. This would indicate that one retains a human body form while one continues to be burned.

Here are some interesting mini essays on the "afterlife":

Heaven would be awfully boring without animals to watch and to eat. I wonder how they earn the trip to heaven to be good good food?! I bet they have a great incentive to go to Hell?

No. Actually...being slaughtered must be more rational than eternal torture. If I was given a choice, I would ask God to slaughter me and smell the "sweet savor". Knowing His weakness for the sense of smell, I would have some little negotiating power. I would be the only human coming through the chute with the cows! I wonder if they shoot a nail through your head in heaven or if they just wiggle their nose like Samantha?

Of course, Panda bears would want to go to heaven. Who would eat a panda bear? They are so gentle that they will probably ALL go to heaven.
