In terms of evolution, the development of science and reason and logic is a single blink of an eye. It is not surprising that most people think that an imagined story is as real as corn chowder. After millions of years, Man started to reason and to methodically research reality a few centuries ago. Now the progress has an exponential ASAP on the cuff. In a couple of centuries superstitious beliefs will be strictly cultic. Or at least it appears that way...
