It is fine if you want to isolate the least of the violations of Muslim civil rights and say that I have no right to intervene. All I am doing is protesting their ridiculous traditions, that is a freedom of speech. How convenient that liberals don't think that conservative speech does not deserve the time of day!!

I totally oppose the retribution based law system which encourages capital punishment for simple expressions of individual rights. It isn't for the religious leaders to stone people to death for having a little carnal pleasure. People need to be protected from people that want to kill in God's name. You might believe that the social price for our policy against terrorism and oppression is unworthy. I think that we are spending good dollars to protect the same rights that the liberals support through the ACLU.

There is no way that the US is going to change the way that Islam practices Sharia and violates every aspect of human behavior. Witness the new Constitution that Iraq is supporting - it imposes the same values that were in place before. I don't like it, but what can you do. I think the movement to a more pluralistic nation state is in everybody's interests in Iraq except for the former Sunni Baathists. IMO, that is a good thing.
