A19: You should be VERY proud of your daughter -- I have a lot of respect for anyone who makes the commitment to run an entire marathon. And you are right that Chicago hosts quite a race....Over 40,000 participants now come from around the world each year (they bring lots of friends and relatives) and its big thing for our city...It's great your daughter was raising money for cancer research...I have a number of friends who run in the race (and have various causes they are supporting).

Roger Clemens is 43 years young and he just came on the mound for the 2nd time in his career as a relief pitcher...I think its like the 16th inning and Roger takes down the Atlanta batters 1,2,3...That's coming through in the clutch in one of the longest National League play-off games ever...I started watching after a client meeting today and it's quite a game.

Tonight my White Sox get busy with the Angels...Even though I'm a die hard Cubs fan I like ANY Chicago team in a play-off run...The White Sox haven't won a World Series since 1917 and I would love to see them go ALL THE WAY (just like I really wanted the Red Sox to win last year).

btw, I've never run more than 10 miles yet BUT one of these days I might get motivated and train and compete in a Chicago marathon...Actually, just finishing the race would be quite an accomplishment...;-)

her effort.

she has my total admiration.

even if she never does it again - i am in
awe of her.
