Well beyond any of the other charges, his attempting to board an airplane with fake IDs should get him something like 5-20.

When sentenced by Judge Dearie, ELGINDY faces a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment on each of two counts of making false statements to federal officials, an additional ten years imprisonment for committing these crimes while on pre-trial release, a fine of $250,000 on each count, and three years of supervised release. ELGINDY is also awaiting sentencing on his racketeering conviction

My guess would be 7.5 years just for these. The Feds are saying they proved at trial he was fleeing justice. If the judge is convinced of that he will be hard pressed not give him the majority of the 10 years.

Unfortunately the more I read from what Elgindy is writing and posting here post-trial only convinces me more of his profound guilt. The more I hear about his crazy justification and his pure insults to the readers. He really has to think everyone is stupid, and that they will buy into his stories.

He has earned his sentencing through actions he always had control of, he crossed the line and knew he was doing it, but must have thought he could pull it off. The Judge is going to have to really work hard to not put him in for less than 20 years. Worse case on just the Airplane ID charges is 20 years if they are not served concurrently. Worse case if concurrent is 10.

And worse case again is Elgindy puts out some more postings on Silicon Investor an makes himself even less of a sympathetic felon in the eyes of the Judge during his sentencing in 6 weeks.

Anyone in touch with the guy should really tell him to shut up, and should really disavow anything that Jeffery or others are attributing to him.

Currently his plan of action is to say the Judge and Jury did not understand, they got it wrong and they were part of system that treated him unfairly. If I were the judge and I read this….I would go out of my way to sentence him harder. I am not the Judge, he is probably a fairer guy than me.
