The brain is part of the body. The question in my mind would be is there an etheric body apart from the physical body, and does it have some form of conciousness. All these are questions asked by philosophers for ever, and I don't think it's been answered.

The fact that they're "living' may or may not be relevant, we don't really know. There are plenty of scientific types that are VERY interested in the whole thing.

You're speculatiing just like 'people' are.
