Has the science progressed to the point where a statistically realistic likelihood can be assigned to this possibility?

Once this barrier is crossed then we have a big problem.

Certainly the odds are something less than 100% on this happening.

Overall - I am glad that Marc Siegel wrote this article, but it should not be taken as an excuse for relative lack of prepardness by governments around the globe.

Based upon our recent NO experience, I am afraid the MSM will whip the country into a frenzy if there is any breakout of this new flu. Combination of a push for ratings and the enthusiasm of the media people.
