Our Lord is the common convention that acknowledges Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Not because as a man of peace he was executed. The use of this clear religious acknowledgement shows a separation of Church and State was limited too literally not establishing a state religion.

It was in line with our Lords words. Render to ceasar that which is ceasar's and to God that which is God's
