Gold bubble is older than oil bubble. I was long NEM at $15-16 and sold in $3X. I had energy stocks but I'm too bearish on world's growth prospects to be bullish on $65 oil.
Also you just got lucky that Katrina and Rita did what they did.

EDIT: I call them bubbles because I eventually expect both to develop into bubbles. Energy will be 30% of SP500 and gold mining will be 55%. -g-
