Justices Take Case Disputing U.S. Power Over Private Wetlands

These are the kinds of cases that make it important to have conservative judges on the bench. The regs are usually justified under the Commerce Clause, that the Scalia/Thomas/O'Connor/Rehnquist court was in the process of curtailing. Without that fourth conservative member, we might as well kiss that prospect goodbye again for another decade or two.

I was once involved in an attempt to build a badly needed airport. Like nearly all property in Fla. it had "wetlands" as the term is describe. The project failed over it. But, if you knew the definition of what they call WETLANDS which are actually generally DRY you would wonder why ANYTHING ever gets built. jdn

I like the word swamp instead of wetlands. His real crime had nothing to do with sacred swamps: <The officials say Mr. Rapanos invited prosecution by thumbing his nose at authority >

That's what bossy goverment nose in trough bludgers really hate. They want power, they do NOT like anyone thumbing their nose at them. That's the most important rule of all.

Oh, there goes a Chinese rocket. Cool. Two blokes in the capsule.

Looks good.

Third country to put people into orbit. Boosters dropped. pretty much a done deal by the look of it. Going like a rocket.
