I just do not agree with the new priorities.

I do not agree with the new priorities either. There is a greater number of people who view my income as their right. I believe I have an obligation to provide as many people with the opportunity to earn an income as I can. I have no further responsibility to the slothful than that. You and I totally disagree about that.

If you wish to give money to the lazy to make them dependent on your largesse, please limit your foolishness to your own income. You have no right to direct the distribution of my income.

I don't think its a very good post at all.

It addresses the difference between productive capitalism and unproductive socialism/communism. The fact that you do not agree with the concepts of personal responsibility or of personal freedom or of personal rights is no surprise at all.

"Having confidence in a free society is to focus on the process of discovery in the
marketplace of values rather than to focus on some imposed vision or goal. Using
governmental force to impose a vision on others is intellectual sloth and typically
results in unintended, perverse consequences. Achieving the free society requires
courage to think, to talk, and to act—especially when it is easier to do nothing.”

Adam Smith proposed that the "Free Hand" of the marketplace was the most efficient mechanism for group economic decisions. The profoundness of his theories has been proven time and time again. People do in fact vote with their feet. People leave states and countries that impose unfair taxation. Countries that have low flat tax rates are among the fastest growing economies in the world. The low flat tax countries appear to have made the largest productivity and end economic gains in the world. Most have gone from decaying economies to robust growth.
