The Constitution prohibed church from being involved in government. So since abortion is mainly an issue to rightwing churchy types, that would seem to block their moral dictatorship on this and other issues. Ironic that religious rightwingers say they want a SC justice who upholds the Consitution becaused the Constitution clearly shuts them out of government, and all the Founding Fathers plus Lincoln and Goldwater couldn't stand the religious right and warned us about the dangers of them infecting our government. In fact some of our greatest leaders didn't believe in Christ as being divine at all. Nor did they see any literal truth in the Bible.
