It’s safe to say that Miers judicial qualifications are marginal to say the least and abortion remains the most emotionally charged topic for the court. Miers may be a pro-life ringer, but groups that are dominated by the abortion debate should remember that Condi who Bush is also very tight with happens to be pro-choice.

I agree with your characterization of her credentials, but the reason many conservatives are so opposed to her is that she does not pass their own Roe v. Wade litmus test, she has an insufficient record to guarantee how she will vote on that issue.
