it's impossible to prove that anybody's a skilled investor, the way you can show, statistically, that somebody's a skilled baseball hitter. efficientfrontier.com

OTOH, it is presumably possible to say if somebody's using rational expectations in making an investment. so far it seems to me that Kerkorian has successfully hidden any trace of rationality in his GM investment.
