That would be untrue. The solar cycle is 11 years long and insolation increases with the intensity of sunspots every 11 years and then decreases, this has been observed by satellites for about 3 decades. However other than the 11 year cycle the insolation has not increased, that is the peak and vally of the cycle is about the same for the three cycles recorded. However,that doesn't mean that it was not less or more in the past.

That's not very convincing, Kenneth...

I note that the Solanki study, which was published in October of 2004, was not cited in this article. Ironically, the only studies cited were those done in the 90's. And the author simply used them as a way to prop up his/her strawman.

Also lacking from your article was the name of the author. Come on, Kenneth...can't you do better then this?
