(If he runs respectably at all he might be a lock for the VP slot with McCain... but if Allen or Frist come out on top he's out... no 'regional balance'.)

My sister says that Governor Sanford may need to run for another office. He is not assured of reelection by any means. Yes he is a fiscal conservative, much to the chagrin of South Carolinians. It might be very nice to have a one term President with a fiscal conservative bent.
