That was a disgrace that spoiled a great ballgame. For the locals, I'm happy for you - you caught a break as a result of incompetence.

As a baseball fan, that was totally outrageous. The announcers caved and went with the tide after some mild protest - the third base ump caved saying he didn't see it (the batter was a lefty). Maybe I'm turning into a curmugeon, but I thought that was off the charts. You could also see the first reactions of the White Sox that were interviewed...they knew.

The homeplate ump blew that one and it's too bad that such piss poor judgement so heavily influenced the outcome of the game.
