"Humans should be skinny and in the tropics" There's from where they come from! 1.75m tall 63Kg weight. Built for the tropics :-) Due to some weather anomaly, people and other animals, ventured north during warmer times in the past. Then the wetaher slowly cooled down and they adapted. Scarce food supplies kept population in check. The science kicked in, more food types (beans, potatoes, penauts, tomatoes, rice etc) were discovred in the New World and we have what we have today.
