You can't always defeat bastards- but the very worst thing you can do (imo) is to become like them, in order to "defeat" them- because obviously, no matter who wins at that point, you're going to have bastards.

I agree with that completely. You can't become like them (the bastards) to defeat them.

However, the intellectual area is full of gray areas. Intellectuals give cover to bastards. The bastards will do some evil deed, and there will always be some intellectual that will backward engineer (so to speak) the rationale for the evil deed.

You can't fight the bastards, because that is their game. That is their home court.

But somehow, you have to expose the misguided intellectuals giving cover to the bastards. The bastards are usually smart enough to know how to use the misguided intellectuals. They normally do not have high regard for "intellectuals", but they certainly know how to use them for cover.
