Be interesting to break it down by church affiliation. Catholic and most mainline Protestant churches don't teach the Earth is 6000 years old. I'll bet most of those 53% are unaffiliated and have never cracked open a Bible.

Believing that the earth is 6,000 years old and that dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark is right up there with the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Unbelievable (shaking my head). That's the results of our "social science" teachers in K-12. God forbid they should ever take a stand on any science position. A parent might object. Unless, of course, the position is a political liberal one.

That's almost scary. Education in this country has really gone down the toilet. Believing that the earth is 6,000 years old and that dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark is right up there with the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Unbelievable (shaking my head). There are some religious bible thumping wacko's that try to use the bible as a timeline. As a Catholic I don't recall the church teaching the age of the earth, nor the church or bible mentioning that dinosaurs were on the Ark. All creatures mentioned are known. Likely this was well after their extinction.
