"The Japanese Candlestick investing signals have to be considered one of the most tested, proven technical trading programs in history. Japanese Candlestick trading signals have been successful for over 400 years with Japanese rice traders. ""

That would be fine, if we were trading rice! LOL

The problem I have with candles is that one site says that "today a hammer was formed, indicating a trend reversal". Another site says bearish harmai, indicating a continuation of the present trend. Everything has to be comfirmed over the next trading session with consideration of the past, recent candles. Some "high waves" are the next day engulfed with a bull white candle only to be followed by another high wave followed by a bearish black candle. It's all just to confusing for my simple farmer mind. LOL
