<"accepting the OT 'except where contradicted by Jesus' is Catholic dogma as far as I know"

How on earth do YOU know what contradicts what Jesus says or believes when YOU are the one deciding what is and isn't Divine and Holy in the bible?>

I don't... notice I said the 'Catholic Church' claims to... which of course I suppose IS their job {interpreting the bible}... not that I think they do it well.

OTOH, you seen to think that YOU (and or books you've read) know that Jesus teachings DON"T contradict the OT. Go figure.

<We go from a poster who tried to defend every word of a brutal mythology as "Divine", to a poster who capriciously uses parts of that mythology to credit or discredit other parts of it?>

Who would that be?

<If the bible is NOT Divine then how do YOU know what He taught? Give me 7 days and I will write a 200 page book on the teachings of Jesus. Will that make it Divine?>

How do I know what he taught whether it's divine or not? And, no wouldn't think your book would be divine... nor would any opinion of mine, to say the least!

<That is because if it is not ALL the Inspired and Holy words of God/Jesus then all Christian belief is capricious and self serving.>

Well IMO, anything anyone says probably has different levels of truth... the fact that something isn't 100% truth, (or divine in this case) doesn't mean it's 100% false... I don't get your point.

<The bible is either primitive mythology or the inerrant word of the Supreme Creator. WHICH...do you think??>

As I said above... your statement makes no sense to me... but now I know where your coming from. No wonder you think Jesus and the bible as being interpreted by religion is some evil conspiracy. We differ there.
