Please show evidence to contradict Iraq is an overwhelming terrorist incubator.

"Some will say that Iraq attracts terrorists. Others claim they are all home grown Sunnis. Someone please show evidence to contradict the overwhelming evideence that Iraq is the terrorist bug zapper.

Anyone who thinks there is "overwhelming evidence that Iraq is the terrorist bug zapper" is too befuddled to deal with. Having said that, I'll tilt at that windmill.

First, let's break down the "overwhelming evidence" assertion. Are you saying "overwhelming evidence" that "terrorists" are being killed in Iraq? If so then surely you're correct since people there are using terrorism to achieve their goals and they are getting killed. In fact, every day they KILL THEMSELVES JUST TO KILL A FEW OF US OR OUR FRIENDS. Does that make your day?

But surely you can't be using your clever bug zapper analogy that simply. I suspect that you mean that Iraq is a beacon that attracts terrorists who can then be disposed of. Again, you're correct. Clearly there are multitudes of Arab, Muslim and, or, Middle Eastern men, women and children who are being pulled into Iraq for the purpose of attacking us and our friends, and some of them are being killed. But does that help us or our allies? I suspect you think it does.

You probably accept the thinking that we can fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here, right? The bug zapper keeps them away from our backyard barbeque, sort of? Have I got it yet?

Here's a bulletin for you: there are BILLIONS of people in the world. Hundreds of MILLIONS of them are in the pool of potential terrorists. They are the right age, they come from cultures that accept violence, even extreme violence, as a way of life and they ADMIRE those who kill for certain reasons. They're fueled by passions of hate, nationalism, religionism and, or, the innate instinct to repel those who they see as invaders or attackers of their lands or religions.

How do you stir the incipient violence and passions that rest within them to such a level that they're willing to die to try to kill us? Can you think of something we could do to get them that stirred up? Can you think of things we could do to get even more of them stirred up? Do you think pictures of our soldiers surrounded by their dead women and children might do that? Do you think pictures of our soldiers leading around their brothers, fathers, sons and friends naked and in chains might do that? Do you think taking away their men with a knock on the door in the night and some of them not coming back might do that? Do you think bombing their cities, towns and bridges into rubble and killing a few civilians in the process might do that?

Or maybe you think there's a limited number of people with a terrorist gene and we can turn them all on and kill them all? Is that it? Now how many do you want to create so your "terrorist zapper" can get a good workout? Is it in the hundreds, the thousands, the tens of thousands, the hundreds of thousands, the millions?...just give me the number and we'll judge how well your zapper policy is working. Of course the zapper runs on juice and the juice is red American blood. Is there enough of that juice to zap all the terrorists we're charging up and attracting to Iraq? Is it the juice of members of your own family that you want to use?

But do you think they're blindly attracted to our Iraqi zapper and that makes you safe at home? But hey, what if the terrorists we're creating and "attracting" to our zapper have free will and change their plans? Could they be determined enough to take all the toughness and savvy they're picked up fighting our troops in Iraq and maybe, just maybe, strike at the heart of their enemy? Maybe they'll want to die killing us where we're easier to kill in larger numbers? Could they be that determined? Could men that are willing to suicide to their own death in order to kill our soldiers try to kill us here, or is your Iraqi "zapper" just such a powerful lure that they can't resist it? Can you think of the answer to that tough question?

Of course they could. The reason they kill us in Iraq is because they want us out of Iraq in particular and the Middle East in general. If they killed us here the American public would get stupider and crazier than they are right now and we wouldn't be as likely to leave the Middle East. If you read anything and listen it should be clear to you that they have an agenda, just like the Israelis did when they used terrorist tactics to drive the British out of Israel in the 1940s, and it will work. It will work because your "zapper" policy is so ham handed and so ignorant that it is creating an overwhelming number of committed terrorists and supporters of terrorists.

But your Iraqi "zapper" policy benefits a group. It benefits a group of intolerant, largely ignorant, ultra-conservative religious fanatics who have been aligned against us for decades. They're Shiites and when they're through using us to win their civil war, they'll kick us out.

Bug zapper? Maybe, but who're the bugs...us or them?
