money bags-

The check will be in the mail as soon as I get one myself.
Maybe next week.

don't send any money. please.
it will just go toward booze. ;-)

You boaters need to start your own association that
collects dues or something and maintain the marina
yourselves.

duh... we created a 501C3 about the same time scooter did.
we've made every offer in the world to the tribe to maintain,
buy, sublease, oversee, manage, or just advise. no dice. this
is not a business issue we're dealing with, it's a karmic
event that has to play out in its own time.

the cochiti tribe hasn't the slightest interest in sailors,
customers or business. but they like money... they've raised
slip rentals to twice what they are worth and at the same
time they've lost the entire electric and water utilities
infrastructure to deferred maintenance. no power or water
on the dock for three years. 20 percent of the slips are
unusable for the same reason. 30 percent of the flotation
has been washed away from storms with no repair or
replacement in the last five years.

if there's ever to be a viable marina on the lake it will
have to be installed and operated either by the army or a
legitimate business oriented concessionaire. we've been
organized as a non profit org. for that purpose for the last
three years but we've gotten absolutely no consideration from
the army as yet because they have had an ongoing lease to the
tribe to operate the marina and could not entertain any offers
while that was in force. it is now cancelled but there could
be litigation over it for years.

but... the wheels of karma are turning... and this is good.

Or just head to Guatemala... When are you leaving?

nov. 4th. don't try to stop me! <g>
