The Constitution and Founding Fathers are more than clear.
Go do your own research. I've posted the quotes many times. in the past.

In fact, if you read the quotes of the founding fathers, they all sound like athiests. I was surprised. Barry Goldwater the founding father of modern conservatism couldn't stand the religious right trying to dictate morality to him. Abe Lincoln the founder of the GOP doubted the divinity of Christ.

The point is all beliefs should be protected in the US including no beliefs at all. They're all equal. God is no one's and no one can define God. God is what the individual thinks God is. God is the in fact the ultimate mystery. God is a word for what we can never understand. And Jesus may have ben a real man, but it's fine not to believe in Jesus, or his teachings, which were admirably about love, peace and taking from the rich to give to the poor, just the opposite of many on the Christian right practice.
