Raw Story reports from deep inside the NYT's newsroom that Miller is not cooperating with the Times' investigation of her involvement with the Plame prosecution, and that she will resign after its article on the subject is published:

pontificator's diary :

Miller, who joined the Times Washington bureau in 1977, spent 85 days in jail after refusing to reveal who told her the name of covert CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson. Since her release, reporters say, she has not been cooperative with the paper's investigation into her role in events surrounding the case. Two reporters allege there have been newsroom outbursts between Keller and Miller over her refusal to talk to the paper's own reporters.

[snip]

At least two reporters say they've heard that Miller plans to resign after the paper runs their examination, which most expect Sunday. According to the Huffington Post, Miller has inked a $1.2 million deal for a tell-all expose.

Reporters at the Times are not happy, and the Publisher is in denial as to how serious this will be for the paper's reputation.

If Miller fails to cooperate with NYT, that will represent a total abdication of her professional duties as a journalist. She has relevant knowledge of a subject of immense public concern, and she has been released by her source from her pledge of confidentiality. If she doesn't FULLY cooperate with the NYT's investigation of her story, she should be FIRED, whether or not she resigns.

<<...TPM Reader NT poses an interesting question. What did Harriet Miers know about the White House plan to bulldoze Joe Wilson and reveal his wife's identity?

Even more interesting, what does she know about what the president knew?...>>
