The media makes very little effort to inform its constituency. They have always done a lot of copying from services like AP and UPI. Now UPI is a Mooney operation so they only have AP and it's under pressure. TP

re: The media makes very little effort to inform its constituency. Its not like they can't do it........they sure opened up the floodgates over Katrina. Maybe its because they don't want to do the work. Last weekend I watched the movie Network for the first time since I saw it in the theatre in 1976. It was written by Paddy Chayefsky and directed by Sidney Lumet. Great movie, prophetic, I would give a top 10 of all time. It's more relevant now than it was when it was released (or maybe I just didn't "get it" then). (Although some parts are dated). If you get a chance, rent, tivo or tape it. John
