Canada has much cheaper drug prices and fine health care. Who told you it was a disaster? I was in Toronto recently and saw they had a clinic in every shopping mall. It was not crowded, there were no lines, it looked very clean, organized and professional.

What Canada has done is take the profit margin out of health care. Therefore, their system serves the patients. If it is ever mis-run then voters can vote out whomever's running it and replace them.

Our system on the other hand, is all screwed up. Of my $2000 per year or so to Blue Cross, they tell me $500 of it goes to people with no health care and another $500 to profit for the HMO's. So half the money is being wasted.
