Yes, agree, that's what I think will happen - first, the government will screw up by helping push us into a deflationary episode.... and, when there is blood in the street, they will come in and "save the day" - and help the "little guy" - by using "unconventional" means or introducing liquidity.... which will panic all dollar holders - both domestic and foreign - and trigger inflation. That would be a whipsaw of historic proportions. How it will all play out real time, that's another question. If the bear returns, surprises - market and non-market - will be of a negative nature.
