Very true. The RE bubble is part and parcel - and the centerpiece - of the whole issue.

"Only" the Nasdaq collapse decreased the nation's collective wealth by several trillion dollars. If RE declines, along with paper assets -- I'm afraid to think how many dollars will go to money heaven.

I think it is possible - to an extent - that RE may show some resiliency on the way down.... maybe as a result of a new fall in rates. But the impact of this will probably get swept away. Maybe it would be enough for a *correction* in the decline.... g/ng
