Nope. The US Constitution is very clear... federal elections are up to the states. No nuance. All the Constitutional scholars agree (but they probably went to grad school). Your correct response is "Yeah, the USSC really screwed that one up, they were making law, but Bush would have won anyway".

I suspect Florida will be blue for the mid-terms; too early for predictions for '08. You all seem to think '04 was the last word in elections... take a look at how your boys are fairing, getting indicted and investigated all over the place. Unpopular wars and deficits, inept government agencies, corruption with the special interests. The public wants to throw the bums <Republicans> out. It's just going to get worse over the next 12 1/2 months.

I would be seriously depressed if I were you.
