Ted, Reversing environmental degradation usually takes longer than 4 years. Let me put it this way. Hurricane Katrina would have still happened even if Bush didn't repeal some of Clinton's environmental regulations. Katrina is not at issue here. Its all the rest.........snowboards in Yellowstone, the cutting down of old growth forests, arsenic in the water, removing the requirement of scrubbers in old power stations. Almost every environmental law passed under Clinton has been emasculated or deleted. Crap, its taken 5 years to convince bubba that global warming is for real. And the environment is just one of many issues. Under Clinton, tbe numbers of people at the poverty level were finally lessening; more and more people were going off welfare; the federal budget was starting to see surpluses and the deficit was growing at a much slower rate than under Reagan. There are so many good things that have reversed under this yo yo of a president that you voted for twice, its literally a crying shame. If it was just incompetency, that would be one thing but they are stealing the Treasury blind.........handing out benies left and right to their fellow cronies. Tax cuts, special no bid contracts, gov't jobs, pork etc. I am sure Lincoln is rolling his grave. Its so far over the top, I can't imagine what's going to happen next.
