Americans aren't "stupid" GST. The majority simply has different opinions then you do on a variety of issues. That's how a Republic works. People argue, present ideas, banter back and forth for months and then vote. Elected leaders then make the decisions if and when to go to war and a host of other things.

The ideas put forth to allow Hussein to remain in power were simply weaker than the ones to remove him were. I realize that must be frustrating, but what alternative do we really have. Should we turn over our Republic to a few narrow minded interest groups and allow them to make decisions? Or perhaps we should give up our independence and turn everything over to the U.N.?

Oh, and by the way, the President didn't say that, and thus far Rove has done nothing illegal. Should we also turn over our legal system to Moveon.org or perhaps the world court?
