most the franchised "liberal" issues, but for theological reasons I would imagine that most liberals are heavily influenced by their grounding in Christian charity. It's hard to say which is chicken and which is egg, the liberalism or the Christianity. I'd bet, though, if it weren't for the self-labeled Christian (political) right, there would be no Christian left. There would be no need for it as it is mainly a counterweight. It is only the right that carries a Christian flag into political battle.
