Bush has changed his rationale for occupying Iraq about 57 times. So at least 56 of them are lies.

Interestingly, Bush has not mentioned the three most likely reasons:

1) To hand over the Iraqi oilfields to his Texas cronies
2) To steal at least one election by being "at war" knowing war-time presidents almost never lose
3) To fatten the coffers of all kinds of Halliburton types with big no-bid defense contracts

There is also the rightwing Israeli influence. Some of the top neocons (plus Lieberman) have strong Israeli ties. Though I'm sure that was only a secondary motivation for Bush-Cheney. They could care less about Jews.

I was only paraphrasing. The exact quote was already posted. You can find it yourself.

The point being...do you believe that the enemy, who ever they may be, hate Americans...because they hate freedom?

This is the part that is the lie that I was talking about. No one hates freedom. To paint Arabs that way is plain and simply propaganda.

There is another...deeper reason that drives people to war. And that is when someone tries to take their freedom. And when that has been done for 100 years in the name of imperialism, then one can get a bit angry.

I don't think that it is a matter of hating freedom. Think about that one for a while, and you will understand that such hate talk is pure propaganda.

And this kind of sleight of hand is working. Still today half of all Americans believe that Saddam Hussein is responsible for 9-11.

Unbelievable...but true.

Here's one of many instances of Bush saying this:

Message 21793703

And the link is to the indisputable newsmax.com. Get your pop up shields ready before going to that link...;^)

RE: Show me where Bush said what you claim he said?

By the way...I didn't use quotes...but the paraphrasing was accurate.
